Evident Retrieval
This film from 2001 took just 3 hours to make and runs at about 8 minutes.
Evident Retrieval is a zombie film about two lads who wonder into an old house in the woods and are confronted by the undead. This was RFFILM's first attempt at make up effects, and featured the actors* wearing plasticine and fake blood on their faces. This film also features that other brilliant staple of cheap film making; titles and credits on filmed bits of paper.
*This term is used very loosely (if you see the film you will understand).
Cast and Crew:
The title of this film is a not very clever rip-off of a popular video game, but can you work out which one?
This film was scripted by Richard Fysh and was to be a starring vehicle for John Fuller who had previously appeared in "From Rosso with Love" and was at the time studying an acting course at college.
This film was to be a first in some ways for RFFILM. The biggest change was that this film was the first film to have a complete script. The Basil Bond films had been thought of in many ideas sessions between Adam Ogden and Richard Fysh where they would come up with guidelines for scenes with the odd scene being completely scripted, most notably the Q scene in "From Rosso with Love." There was a whole days worth of filming done and the film was very nearly completed (this is quite amazing considering Dr.Maybe took 6 months worth of saturdays to make) however it was left unfinished.
John Fuller has now decided to give up acting altogether.
